Free People +Vogue shoes = Perfection!

Ok, so if  you didn’t know Free People is one of my all time fave retailers.  I am truly bohemian, eclectic, funky, etc and I feel as though Free People  captures every aspect of my personality.  Both the poncho and jumpsuit are from people! You will probably see me rocking this poncho until it gets entirely too cold, but that’s just how much I love it! My booties are from Vogue Footwear.  They are called Go Wild and they go perfectly with my outfit. The shimmer detail on the back of the bootie gives it a nice chic twist.  Check below to see how you can get 15%  off a pair of amazing shoes.  Well, I’m off to rock this outfit! Hope you all have a wonderful day

Fly guy Friday: Casual Friday

Kenny

Happy Friday all my fly guys! Casual Friday is a great opporutnity to express your personal style.  If your job requires a suit or uniform and that’s not the type of person that you are then casual friday is probably the best thing ever for you!.  This is a casually cool look.  It’s not to  much, but just enough to stamp your individuality on it.  The sweater is from Nordstrom, the chino pants are by Guess and they are from Marshalls, and the shoes are Toms again from Nordstrom.  The watch is by Kenneth Cole.  These colors not only brighten up the look, but they will also brighten up your office.  Let me know how you like this look and until next week fly guys!

Prints make me happy!

I was doing some casual shopping in Forever21 when I saw this dress coming out of the back room and immediately gravitated towards it.  It wasn’t even on shelves yet and it caught my attention so much so that I ran over to look for my size, grabbed it and headed straight to the dressing room.  I tried it on and even though I was already in a good moo, something about this dress lifted my spirits even more.  Did you know that the colors that you wear can effect your mood? There’s science behind this theory and we even describe moods with color i.e feeling blue, seeing red, green with envy.  The Huffington Post did a great article on color and mood! Check it out here.  Well anyhow something about this print made me excited and I had to buy it and also wanted to share! What are you wearing today? How does it make you feel?  Here are the deets on the rest of my outfit:
Bracelet:Forever 21
 Glasses: Ola Style,

Boots: Marc  Jacobs (thrifted)

St. Louis Fashion Blog Awards!

Last Thursday night I had the pleasure of hosting the first ever St. Louis Fashion Blog Awards EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!! The excitement was very real! It was not only the Blog Awards, but the kick off to St. Louis Fall Fashion Week 2013.  Co-hosting with Alive Magazine’s Co-Founder and Fashion Week Co-Producer Elizabeth Tucker along with PR guru’s Jenna Pet and Ellen Soule, was an overwhelming experience, but in a most wonderful way!  The night kicked off with hors d’oeuvres, mixing and mingling and great ambiance.  We then moved into the fashion blog awards ceremony and that’s where I took the mic.  I was able to announce the winners in categories such as Best use of twitter, instagram, Best photography, Best Personal Style, Best Life Style (which I was nominated for and didn’t even know lol oops).  The crowd was full of excitedment as the winneres were announced.  It was so great to see the bloggers come up to the front, receive their award and  have their moment.  If you talk to any blogger there, they are just excited that people read their “stuff,” so being nominated or a winner  is a huge cherry on top of the cake! I can’t wait for next year’s awards show!!! However the fun isn’t over yet, it’s just beginning! Next week the fashion shows kick off and you don’t want to miss them!!! Get your tickets here St. Louis Fashion Week and use CHRISTIA15 for a $10.00 discount!! Can’t wait to see you there!

FNO canceled??? STL does it’s on thing!

Even though FNO (Fashion’s Night Out) was canceled nationally, St. Louis decided to keep the tradition alive by having A Night of Style sponsored by St.Louis Magazine. It was a night of networking, free food and drinks that culminate with a fab fashion show inside of the mall. I held down the Fashion Group international booth, mixed and mingled and also enjoyed the show inside. Guess, H&M, Nordstrom, The Limited, Franchesca’s and several other retailers showcased their fall trends.  While watching the show it was hard not to keep your head from bobbing because the DJ was incredible. He definitely kept the night interesting! I think some people were more interested in the music than the clothes. At one point my husband and I threw our hands up because heyyyyy he was was playing our jam. He immediately looked over at us and gave us the head not of approval lol! What a great night!
