That moment when you’ve lost your pregnancy weight but your clothes still fit weird what do you do? I want to share few things that I’ve learned along my postpartum bod journey.
1. Keep calm
The Snatch or SnapBack is possible but its a process. It’s a process in which I’m currently experiencing. Weight has also been an issue for me, but when I started focusing more on being fit that how much I weighed, I got better results. I trained with a local trainer at HD Fitness and I was in the best shape ever. After training, I kept working out at the gym and also did a workout program from http://www.fitnessblender.com . So now that I’m 3 months postpartum, I’ve started to workout consistently again and to be patient with the progress. Fitness Blender is great because I don’t have to worry about a babysitter and my husband and I can work out together! When Shiloh starts crying while we are working out, we just incorporate him. I use him as my dumbbell. That’s 10+pounds. So he’s helping me get buff lol.
2. Love your bod no matter what
Discover the things you like most about your shape and play those up. Maybe you’ve gained some new additions from pregnancy. In my case a little more junk for my trunk and now some things fit me a little better than they did before. So don’t fret about a little extra.
3. Strengthen your Abs
The jackknife is an amazing exercise to strengthen your abs and it’s something that you can do easily in-between feedings, diaper changes and playing with your little one.
4. Sometime you gotta Spanx or double Spanx
The celebrities do it why not you?! If you have a special event to attend or want to feel a little more confident, slip on a Spanx! They are awesome and worth the investment.
5. Here are my top 6 clothing/accesories that make me feel good about my post preggo bod.
Dusters: They are great for camouflaging areas that you are still working on. You can wear something fitted underneath and you still look slim. Beanies: Sometimes I hardly have time to come my hair so I throw on a beanie and I look super hip:) Jumpsuits: They’re chic and flattering not to mention effortless. They are also good for easy access while nursing Red lipstick: For getting your sexy back Boots/Heels: Make you feel longer and leaner and if you’re like me it feels great to get back in them!

Awesome post! I love number 1: Stay calm. I am 10 months post pregnancy. Being a nutritional professional and living an active lifestyle I just thought it would be easier. I put a little extra stress on myself because I just knew I would lose it quicker due to being so dedicated in the gym and the kitchen. I lost my weight the healthiest way possible at a wopping 1/2 – 3/4 of a lb per week, yet I was not even close to my pre pregnancy weight or clothes. By month 6 1/2 it just started to drip off. I didn’t make any changes to my intake or workouts. I finally accepted that lack of sleep, stress of being a new mama and hormones were affecting my goals. So you go girl! Keep up the hard work.
